This trip was conceived as tour of the many places in the world that we have not experienced. Alix and I met while traveling in Italy and for the both of us traveling is something we greatly enjoy. Alix has for a long time been wanting to take an extended trip to South America and ironically South America is the only place on this trip we will not be traveling, (that, and a million other places — but you get the idea. itinerary We have both traveled throughout Europe multiple times so we scratched it off the list as well and decided to travel mainly the southern hemisphere. We have planned for a full year and to keep ourselves sane we are giving ourselves plenty of time in each country, choosing just a few spots within each to settle in and get to know.

We both consider traveling to be an important part of life and believe the experiences gained while traveling will help us to become more in tuned with what is happening around the world while strengthening our individual experience as well. Every destination on this trip is new and we hope each will leave us eyes-popping-out-of-our-heads experiencing new traditions, histories, tastes and languages.
